Here we have two fairly tabular but gemmy root-beer brown vesuvianite crystals on matrix. A classic specimen from its type locality, named after the famous Mt. Vesuvius which erupted in 79 AD, burying Pompeii. These alpine Italian beauties are among the finest and most highly sought after examples of the species! Very cool.
