This specimen is a very large, thick slice of dolomite/rock breccia that is highly impregnated with rich native silver, incredibly thick in some places. The super-thick silver passes right through the specimen. Some of the silver is sort of dendritic and some is in very fine veinlets. The rough mineralogical textures are visible on the sides, since the piece is so thick. Look at the dimensions to see how large this piece is? Amazing high grade! The Silverfields Mine was one of the oldest mines in the Cobalt Camp. plus one of the last mines to close in the 1990s.
