Cut on both sides with a slight polish, this is a vein section of dendritic herring-bone silver in white dolomite. The silver is surrounded by the nickel mineral rammelsbergite. From the more rare locality the Hargrave Mine, which was discovered in 1905 and worked by Hargrave Silver Mines Ltd, from 1908 to 1921. The deposit was worked through two shafts the deepest being 550 feet. Production up to 1920 was 500,000 oz. silver and 6,400 lbs. cobalt. No work is recorded after 1928*.
