This specimen comes from the 2003-2004 mimetite discovery out of the (now flooded) Pingtouling mine. That said, of course, no more specimens will be coming from this mine that was once providing the world with some of its best examples of crystallized mimetite. These tabular hexagonal crystals are nicely translucent and display a rich yellow-orange colour.
