Pyrite

This concretion/cluster of pyrite crystals shows an interesting stepped cube-octahedral crystal habit and is crystallized all around. The Port au Port Peninsula, on the west coast of the island of Newfoundland has become a prolific producer of mineral specimens, in recent years. One of the most interesting is the occurrence of pyrite nodules ands crystals in the shales of West Bay, Tea Cove, Lead Cove, etc. A beautiful interesting cluster from that locality that displays well.
