Kermesite

Lac Nicolet Antimony Mine, South Ham TWP., Wolfe Co., Quebec
Canada
Dimensions: 4.2x2.4x2.0 cm
Price: CA

A number of sprays of kermesite are present on this specimen, as well as prismatic, creamy-whitish valentinite crystals. Kermesite (or antimony oxysulfide), is the result of partial oxidation between stibnite and other antimony oxides such as valentinite or stibiconite. Very unusual mineralization!

Note: All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD). International customers are charged in CAD, exchange rate is calculated automatically by your bank/paypal upon checkout.
