Clots of gold are scattered along the length and depth of this pure white quartz vein. The quartz cuts chrome green fuschite for nice contrast. This specimen of gold ore comes from the Red Lake district, which is/was one of the largest gold mines in Canada and in the world. The Red Lake Mining District has produced over 26 million ounces of gold through 2020. Very nice piece that displays well.
