Rich gold can be seen in the quartz vein that runs between the grey-green serpentine matrix. Could use some further prepping in my opinion, showcase the gold a bit better and have it stand on its own by being sawn lengthwise through the middle. This specimen of gold ore comes from the Red Lake district, which is/was one of the largest gold mines in Canada and in the world. The Red Lake Mining District has produced over 26 million ounces of gold through 2020. A very nice ore sample!
