This specimen shows a very white, gold impregnated quartz vein cutting through chrome-green fuchsite. The gold is a great contrast with the white and greeen. A very instructive and beautiful piece. This specimen of gold ore comes from the Red Lake district, which is/was one of the largest gold mines in Canada and in the world. The Red Lake Mining District has produced over 26 million ounces of gold through 2020. Gold all through it and displays well.
