This is one of the best specimen of this unusual mineral! A vug on the front of gossan matrix is lined with greenish balls of chrysocolla, perhaps coated by malachite. Looks great!
The Planet Mine is an old copper and iron mine located in La Paz county, Arizona. The mine operated between 1863-1917. The old mine workings, the foundations of the post office and other buildings are still there at the site.
