Here is a nice pink zircon on white nepheline with black biotite from the CN rock dump in Bancroft. The rock is from the Golding-Keene Quarry which is in an alkaline intrusive, near Bancroft. A very good example of the thorium and uranium bearing zircons (var. cyrtolite) from Bancroft. These reddish-brown crystals glow yellow under the UV.
