An interesting rock specimen showing elongated crystals of dark green tremolite embedded in a fine grained mica matrix. There are tiny garnets embedded in the bases of the tremolite crystals. I expect this is a very interesting study in the metamorphic history of this deposit. Old geologist label attached.
