Stunning big slice of silver with dendritic silver and veinlets of silver in arsenides inside an 11cm thick vein. This piece would look great out on display, it's an aesthetic piece but also a wonderful geologic specimen showing the distinctive type of ore that was mined in the Cobalt area. Specifically, this piece comes from the Beaver Mine, once one of the deepest mines in the Cobalt area originally worked between 1907 and 1940. The property was developed by two shafts (the deepest being 1600 feet) and 8.5 miles of drifts and crosscuts. Total production from 1907-1940 being approx. 7.1 million oz. of silver and 140,000 lbs. of cobalt.*
