This slice shows some superb native silver! Cut on one side and rough on the other this piece comes from the Lawson Mine, a historic locality first discovered in 1904 by four prospectors. It came under legal dispute when one of the four sold the claim for 250 dollars to H.S Lawson. The very rich Lawson vein was up to 0.5m (1.6 feet) wide, 100 metres (328 ft) long and up to 60 (197 ft) metres deep.* That's a lot of silver!
