While satterleyite rarely crystallizes in good crystals it does crystallizes in tightly packed crystal aggregates in nodules at Big Fish River. In this specimen, tight bundles of resinous, yellow crystals are embedded in a nodule with bluish-black vivianite lining the outside of the nodule, including some crystals of vivianite.
