Sainfeldite, Picropharmacolite

The Bou Azer area is an arsenic-rich environment and home to many rare arsenic-bearing minerals. Here are two of them in one specimen. The top of this specimen is largely covered with very delicate acicular picropharmacolite, much of it compressed, except in open areas between tufts. As well, though, more importantly are many more hardy balls of pink sainfeldite that make a nice contrast to the white mineral. A nice example!
