Perhaps my favourite type of pyrite formation, these ovoid pyrite concretions from Newfoundland spiral clockwise from micros into bigger and bigger crystals. This one is interesting in how it displays standing up vertically with the larger crystals drooping over the top. The pyrites are sharp and simple cubes that weathered out of shale on the shore and in a shallow bay of the ocean. A great example of a very unique habit!

Note: Specimen is broken across the bottom, see pics. Doesn't distract when on display IMO.
