A massive sample of Hematite featuring many lustrous platy-lenticular blades stacked one upon the other in parallel growth. The specimen comes from the iron mines of Rio Marina on Elba Island, most of which are closed now but date all the way back to the ancient Etruscans. Some iridescent staining on crystals.
