Here is an interesting and rich specimen! The piece shows three zones. The lower zone is batrrent, white quartz, there is a fine-grained pyrite zone in the middle and then the top is carbonate, laced with very coarse native gold and sharp, octahedral pyrite crystals. The gold is thick and I estimate that there could be a third of an ounce of gold in it. It would be possible to remove some of the carbonate with acid etching to reveal more gold. Great piece from an unusual locality!
