Galena, Dolomite, Chalcopyrite

There are two generations of galena on this specimen! The matrix is smaller, cube-octahedra of galena crystals, encrusted with dolomite. On that nice matrix are several much larger, simple galena cubes, with tiny octahedral modifications. American classic! From Missouri’s Viburnum Trend, which has produced some of the fine examples of the species. This old stock material is rarely available making this a superb addition for collectors of rare species or those seeking an excellent combo example from this classic locality.
