A small plate of purple botryoidal fluorite from near the historic mining/western town of Tombstone, AZ. This locale of Fluorite is incredibly difficult to mine making it imperative to use heavier equipment techniques to remove the crystals, causing large specimens to be extremely rare. The botryoidal fluorite crystals, actually, rounded octahedra, are separated by quartz which also appear botryoidal or globular but are actually epimorphs, filling in gaps between fluorite. A nice sample from a relatively new locality.
