A striking, palm sized, cabinet specimen of a lustrous, 5.5 cm, doubly terminated, variegated apatite crystal, very nicely set in contrasting orange calcite matrix from the famous Yates Mine, at Otter Lake, Quebec. As with all Grenvillian fluorapatites, the crystal is riddled with micro-fractures, and so there is one repair that is very difficult to see without close inspection. The specimen displays well!
