Here is an extremely well crystallized native copper specimen from the Keweenaw Peninsula. It is a long strand of copper crystals that has been inserted into a separate base of native copper crystals. The strand of copper crystals is very well formed, with sharp crystal faces from top to bottom. The crowning glory, however is the top crystal, an exquisite tetrahexahedron(I think) with original patina from 150+ years ago, or so, when it was collected. I exchanged this from the A.E.Seaman Museum many years ago. No old labels, though. Beautiful copper!
