This piece of the Bushveldt Igneous Complex, contains a portion of one of the chromite stringers that bound the platinum-rich layer of the Bushveldt Igneous Complex that is the Merensky Reef. Interesting geological as well as mineralogical specimen. The chromite stringer is s 3mm or so line of chromite that runs through the sample. Famous formation!
