In this specimen, nestled safely in a small vug we can see a 16mm calcite globule with a shimmering honey-yellow surface. The specimen is from a classic old location, Montalto di Castro, 90km from Rome. These have been scarce since an initial flow of them happened a in the 1980's. This is a great specimen with no bruises or scratches to the crystal.
