Boulangerite, Quartz

Stari Trg Mine, Trepca Complex, Mitrova Dist.
Kosovo
Dimensions: 13.8x7.5x5.4 cm

Nice specimen of colourless quartz crystals protruding through silvery boulangerite hairs in a dense mat from the classic Kosovo locality. Boulangerite is an uncommon sulfosalt mineral, lead antimony sulfide, that occurs in hydrothermal veins. A great example from a historic mining region!
