Beautiful sprays of acicular, blue aurichalcite crystals are in a number of hemimorphite vugs across the top of this specimen. The aurichalcite crystal sprays have tiny calcite and hemimorphite crystals suspended in and between the aurichalcite needles. If you look carefully, you'll see that light green smithsonite underlies the carpet of hemimorphite crystals. Interesting AND beautiful!
