The Marmoraton Iron Mine was a large, open pit iron mine, exploiting a giant skarn zone. Well formed andradite garnets occurred at the mine and have been recovered from the waste rock dumps for years. Here is a nice example of a simple dodecahedron of the garnet group mineral, still encased in white calcite.  One ding but still nice!
