The top of this specimen of solid hydroxylapatite crystals is covered by small crystals, many very sharp, hexagonal doubly or singly terminated crystals. Some are partially coated with asphaltic pyrobitumen. As well, the bottom has a layer of black asphaltum. Interesting specimen!
