A sharp doubly terminated zircon thumbnail specimen from the classic Mud Tank carbonatite complex, Northern Territory, Australia. The crystal displays great translucency with an attractive vitreous lustre, allowing light to penetrate the terminations nicely. Well-formed crystal faces and balanced proportions make this a strong example for the size, representing the locality well. An appealing miniature/thumbnail specimen from one of Australia’s most important zircon localities.
