The Kipawa Alkaline Complex is renowned for its wealth of rare minerals, but zircon is arguably the most prized crystallized species from this locality. This specimen is a great example, featuring a highly lustrous, equant zircon crystal with a well-defined form. The crystal exhibits a yellow fluorescence. While the Kipawa Complex is known for producing sharp zircon crystals, specimens of quality, such as this, are uncommon and seldom available. This superb crystal would make a great addition to any thumbnail mineral collection.
