This specimen showcases a drusy layer of bright orange to butterscotch bipyramidal wulfenite crystals with an exceptional lustrous finish. The crystals exhibit unusual etched and stepped-growth faces, along with striking oscillatory growth patterns. Notably, this is a floater specimen, with only a slight white calcite smudge on the bottom. The wulfenites from Mežica, Slovenia, are iconic old-time examples of the species and are considered among the most famous mineral specimens from any Slovenian locality.
