This specimen features lustrous tabular crystals almost entirely coating the top portion of the specimen in a thick layer. Colours range from orange-yellow to brownish-orange, with individual crystals reaching up to 5 mm in size. The locality is renowned for producing thick, tabular crystals with characteristically rounded prism faces, as exemplified by this sample. The specimen is also associated with pale yellow drusy micro-acicular crystals of an unidentified mineral (vanadinite?), adding to its visual appeal. Acquired by Dr. Tarassoff at the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show in 1980, this is a particularly beautiful and noteworthy example.
