A miniature specimen featuring bright, stout hexagonal prisms of red-orange vanadinite scattered across light peach-coloured baryte blades, on just a bit of remaining matrix.
The specimen comes from the Mibladen Mining District in Morocco, a locality world-renowned for producing some of the finest vanadinite specimens ever discovered. The district has yielded countless superb examples of this lead vanadate, often in association with baryte and other secondary minerals formed in the oxidized zones of the deposit. This piece comes from the international mineral collection of Peter Tarassoff.
