This is a noteworthy and quite unusual specimen featuring lustrous, translucent elongated vanadinite prisms with a rich brick-red colour. The crystals are dramatically clustered together in blocky to tabular formations, displaying distinct colour zones and striking skeletal features. The crystals show reddish-orange to reddish-brown hues, with lighter-coloured caps and pinacoid terminations, reaching up to 0.9 cm across. This specimen stands out due to its unique crystal habit, gemmy quality, and overall richness. Dr. Tarassoff acquired this specimen from a French dealer at the Montreal Gem and Mineral Club Show in 1980. Given its extraordinary clarity, gemminess, and unusual morphology, this piece is a great example from Mibladen, which is renowned for its fine vanadinites.
