Individual barrel-shaped, orange-brown hexagonal prisms of wulfenite, featuring basal pinacoid terminations with narrow pyramidal faces, are scattered on a matrix of crystallized white calcite. This specimen is an older example from a classic locality, notable for its well-defined crystal forms and contrasting mineral associations. It was purchased by Dr. Tarassoff from Hawthornden (Frank Melanson) in 1974 at the Montreal Gem and Mineral Show.
