Tsumebite is a rare lead-copper phosphate-sulfate hydroxide mineral with the formula PbCu(PO₄)(SO₄)(OH). It forms in the oxidation zones of lead-copper ore deposits, often as a secondary mineral. This specimen features tiny crystals of rare bluish-green tsumebite scattered in patches across a quartz matrix. While modest in size, the crystals exhibit good colour, it's a decent example from this odd locality for the species. Specimens like this are uncommon and appreciated by collectors of rare secondary lead minerals. This specimen comes from the collection of Dr. Peter Tarassoff, a well-known Canadian mineralogist and collector.
