This specimen features an elongated crystal of elbaite tourmaline displaying striking blue -green colouration with some internal fractures. The crystal is partially embedded in massive quartz, with roughly half of the prism exposed. Minas Gerais, Brazil, is one of the world’s premier sources for gem-quality tourmaline, renowned for producing a wide range of colours and well-formed crystals.
