This specimen features a couple of prominent, lustrous dravite crystals resting on a small remnant of quartz matrix. It's broad, smooth, and reflective faces make it a striking representation tourmalines from the Power's Farm, a renowned Grenville Province locality for East Coast mineral collectors. Historically, these tourmalines were initially classified as iron-rich uvite due to their composition. The piece is in good condition, showing some contact and minor bruising to the crystal faces. As specimens from Pierrepont and other similar localities become increasingly scarce, this piece stands out as both a collectible and a noteworthy example of this historic region’s mineralogical heritage. There is a little bruising, still makes for a nice sample.
