These Grenvillian titanites from the Moncerf area of Quebec are highly prized by collectors for their superb crystal development, characterized by a distinctive shimmering velvety lustre and razor-sharp edges. Although titanite is typically brittle and often forms in challenging geological environments, this locality has earned a reputation for producing exceptional, well-preserved examples. Though this specimen has some bruising to the upper edge, it remains a good representation. The crystal is sharply defined, with excellent distinct titanite form.
