This specimen features a 6 mm smooth spherical aggregate of acicular crystals, accompanied by tiny sheaves of acicular crystals, along with dawsonite, mauve fluorite, and quartz. Collected by Dr. Tarassoff in 1976 from the Francon Quarry in central Montreal, this site is renowned for its unique alkalic intrusive sill in limestone. The quarry ceased operations in 1981 and will never reopen, making specimens from this locality exceptionally rare and highly prized by collectors.
