This specimen features a composite cluster of olive-green sphalerite crystals on a sparkling microcrystalline dolomite matrix, sourced from one of southwestern Ontario's limestone quarries. Typically, sphalerite crystals from these quarries are brown, dark orange, or red, making these green crystals an uncommon find. The green coloration indicates a low iron content, as iron-free sphalerites are colourless.
