Smithsonite (var. Cobaltoan)

This miniature specimen features a cluster of sharp, soft pink cobaltoan smithsonite crystals, with the largest reaching 13 mm. The crystals are beautifully associated with quartz and galena, wrapping around the sides of the piece to create a dynamic display from multiple angles. Cobaltoan smithsonite is among Tsumeb’s most prized species, and this specimen comes from the esteemed collection of Robert Yeoman, the Irish-born, Toronto-based collector renowned for his exceptional Namibian collection.
