This specimen is a rich sample of silver ore within a calcite vein from the Langis Mine. It features dendritic silver embedded within matte grey safflorite, running throughout the specimen. Numerous silver beads are visible on the opposite side, highlighting the specimen's rich mineralization. The piece has been left rough to preserve and showcase the natural mineralogical textures. The Langis Mine, a historically significant site, was operated by various mining companies from its inception in 1906 until around 1971, when Langis Mining Ltd. assumed sole ownership. By the end of 1966, the mine had produced approximately 9.4 million ounces of silver. This specimen is a good representation of the high-grade ore characteristic of the Langis Mine.
