Silver, Galena

This specimen is a slice of a fragment of high grade from the old Silver Islet Mine, in Lake Superior. It is a vein portion that holds fine, dendritic native silver and (in cross section) galena crystals. Most of the dark is silver with a smaller amount being galena. Hard to illuminate it all! Rich!
