This thumbnail specimen from the world-famous Tsumeb Mine, Namibia presents a rare combination of species. The piece hosts bright yellow prismatic crystals of mimetite, contrasted by deep cherry-red cuprite that glow with internal translucency under strong light. Adding to the specimen’s uniqueness, there is also a minor but distinct presence of Native Silver, a very uncommon association at Tsumeb.

While all three minerals are classic to the locality, seeing them together on a single piece is exceptionally unusual, indeed, specimens with this particular combination are almost unheard of. The vivid contrast of colours, combined with the rarity of association, makes this specimen not only highly aesthetic but also mineralogically significant. A true collector’s piece that underscores the unparalleled diversity of the Tsumeb paragenesis.
