A striking and specimen displaying bright high-grade dendritic, herringbone-pattern native silver coated in saffrolite and hosted in diabase matrix. The silver shows classic branching textures that catch the light beautifully, making this an exceptional display piece.

The specimen was collected from Nipissing Hill, historically the site of a High Grade Mill and once used as a dumping area for rich silver ore. Today, the location stands as an important heritage landmark in the Cobalt mining district, featuring interpretive displays and remnants of early structures that offer a glimpse into the region’s celebrated silver-mining past.

This piece not only reflects the distinct geological character of the area, but also serves as a tangible link to the history of one of Canada’s most storied mining camps. A fine addition for collectors of native silver, Cobalt camp material, or classic North American mining localities.
