This specimen is a finely cut slice showcasing superb dendritic silver within a white dolomite matrix interspersed with arsenides. It originates from the historic Lawson Mine, a notable locality discovered in 1904 by four prospectors. The mine became the centre of a legal dispute when one of the original discoverers sold the claim for $250 to H.S. Lawson, after whom the mine was named. The Lawson vein, known for its remarkable richness, measured up to 0.5 meters (1.6 feet) wide, extended 100 meters (328 feet) in length, and reached depths of up to 60 meters (197 feet). This vein was a prolific source of silver, making the Lawson Mine a significant contributor to the region's mining history.*
