Small double-sided plate of saddle shaped siderite on a carbonate matrix from the Steep Rock Iron Mine. The mine at Steep Rock Lake was spawned from the dire need for iron during the later stages of World War II. Steep Rock Iron Mines was formed in 1938 and was listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange later that year. Historic!
