This specimen is a rich chunk of massive scheelite, notable for its characteristic blue-white fluorescence under ultraviolet light, marking it as an excellent piece from a historic mine. This classic Lamaque mine vein material is distinctively fluorescent, although seriously lacking in gold content (ie none). The mine from which this specimen originates began operations in 1930 and is renowned for its rich gold deposits, this contributes to the specimens' historical significance. Very nice!
